About Color
The use of stones whether for physical decoration, as a symbol of status or standing within a community, an amulet, a talisman, or a curative stretches back into timelessness.
Color elicits very important emotional responses in humans: excitement, serenity, relaxation, anger. We often choose, consciously or subconsciously, colors that enhance our strengths and support our weaknesses. Our curiosity and imaginations are easily engaged by color and patterns frozen in stone over millennia, by the brilliance and clarity of crystals left behind as waters receded, and by the beauty of volcanic and meteoric glass created by such violent phenomenon.
